Great Britsh Food Awards Winner

We are delighted to have won two awards in this year’s Great British Food Awards 2021.

Our Organic Spelt White Gigli Rigati Pasta won in the vegetarian category, which was judged by Tom Hunt, award-winning chef, food educator, writer, climate change activist. Tom commented, “It’s hard to find good pasta made with alternative grains like spelt. Sharpham Park has cracked it! Their Spelt White Pasta Gigli Rigati is flavoursome, nutty and decadent.”

Our Organic Pearled Spelt was highly commended by judges; “a wonderful alternative to risotto… Simply replace risotto rice with the organic pearled spelt in any risotto recipe and extend the cooking time a touch until the spelt is perfectly al dente. Diversifying our staple foods is essential for our nutrition and supporting biodiversity.”

The Great British Food Awards were launched to celebrate the very best artisanal produce in the food and drink industry.  The judging panel comprises some of the most acclaimed chefs, food critics and influencers in the country.
